Company History of Total Health Rewards (THR)
Total Health Rewards (THR), founded in 1991, was originally known as Total Health Products. Total Health Products pioneered the medically-relevant certificate business primarily in response to the AMA Guidelines released in 1991. By the mid 1990s, Total Health Products had grown substantially and was providing medically-relevant certificates to healthcare professionals attending industry meetings throughout the country. By the late 1990s, Total Health Products distributed several million dollars in certificates each month.
In 1999, Total Health Products was sold to Medsite, Inc., and the business was rebranded as Medsite Rewards. The business continued to grow as a part of Medsite even as it went through many changes in response to the PhRMA and OIG Guidelines. As the eDetailing business started gaining strength in the pharmaceutical marketing world, Medsite Rewards found a new area where medically-relevant fulfillment items were required. This development also helped to encourage the rewards business to shift online.
On November 1, 2006, Medsite Rewards was purchased from Medsite and rebranded as Total Health Rewards. Since November 1, 2006, THR has focused on improving internal operations, expanding the offering to our pharmaceutical and medical education clients to meet their evolving needs.
