While Doug Mack's professional "pride and joy" are the industry-leading satellite and webcast services delivered by ESSRX, his story starts before there was wide use of the internet, and satellites were used primarily by the military and NASA!
Doug’s entrepreneurial journey started in 1991 when he founded Total Health Products (THP). THP was the first and the largest provider of medically-relevant fulfillment services to the pharmaceutical industry (handling ~25,000 meetings annually). Doug’s company served Medical Education and Pharmaceutical companies and he built his reputation as an honest and straight-forward partner who always delivered for his clients.
In 1999, Doug sold THP to Medsite, Inc, (now WebMD) and served as the COO of Medsite until 2002. The fulfillment business was renamed as Medsite Rewards.
Three years later, in 2005, Doug’s entrepreneurial spirit reawakened and he founded AV Solutions with his long time client and friend, Annette Velotto. A year later, Doug, Annette and David Ganz (a former colleague and friend of Doug’s) partnered to purchase the Medsite Rewards fulfillment business back from Medsite and rebranded it as Total Health Rewards.
In 2008, Doug launched the satellite and webcast division, Advantage Broadcast Solutions and he established partnerships with Ruth's Chris Hospitality Group and NBA Entertainment in 2009. All of these different divisions and services now fall under ESSRX, with Doug as the CEO.
Doug received a BA from Connecticut College in New London, CT and an MBA from the University of Chicago, School of Business.
